Join us Sunday, April 3rd at 5:00 pm as Christians from the community of faith in the Los Angeles area come together for Los Angeles Celebrates Israel at Greater Zion Church Family.  Eagles’ Wings, Dr. Michael Fisher and the Greater Zion Church Family will host this powerful night of solidarity with the Jewish people and a wonderful celebration of the nation of Israel!

IN THE MIDST OF CHALLENGES

Israel is facing many challenges in the world right now, and the community of faith in the region will join together to declare our love and support for Israel and the Jewish People. Please mark your calendar right now and plan to join us for this wonderful evening!

JEWISH & CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES UNITE

This promises to be an exciting night, with many leaders and members of the Jewish Community present as our special guests. Speakers and guests will include representatives from Israel, as well as civic leaders from the region. The evening is free and open to the public, and a special offering will be taken for Israel.

Bishop Robert Stearns
Bishop Robert Stearns

Robert Stearns is widely recognized as a visionary leader, compelling communicator, gifted strategist, and influential bridge builder. He is the founder and executive director of Eagles’ Wings, a global movement of churches, ministries, and leaders. Eagles’ Wings is involved in a variety of strategic projects around the world, with a unique emphasis on interfaith dialogue and humanitarian care. Robert’s life flows out of deep commitment to Jesus that is characterized by a distinct prophetic edge. A noted author, world-class musician, and highly sought after public speaker, his written works have been translated into 8 languages, his music is appreciated around the world, and he has ministered in over thirty nations while maintaining a distinct focus on Israel.

Consul General Hillel Newman

Dr. Hillel Newman assumed the post of Consul General of Israel in July 2019, where he serves as the senior representative of the State of Israel to the Pacific Southwest. During his twenty-year diplomatic service, Consul General Newman accumulated vast experience in policy formulation and decision-making at the highest levels of Israel’s foreign policy establishment. He has served as Policy Advisor to three Foreign Ministers of Israel and Ambassador of Israel to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Previously, he served in the Strategic Division of the Ministry, key in coordinating efforts related to strategic threats facing the State of Israel. Newman made Aliyah with his family from South Africa, served as a medic in the IDF and is married to Ayala. The couple have a ten-year-old son, Ram.

Keynote Elan Carr

Elan S. Carr was appointed by the President and Secretary of State to the office of U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. As such, he advised Secretary Pompeo and helped direct U.S. policies. Before joining the Trump Administration, Carr served as a Deputy District Attorney for LA County, prosecuting violent crimes for more than a decade. Carr has received commendations for his nearly two decades of military service. In 2003-04, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, he led an anti-terrorism team and helped to establish an Iraqi judiciary, training judges and lawyers. As the son of Iraqi Jewish refugees, Carr speaks Hebrew and Arabic. He served on the National Council of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and has been a recognized leader in the fight against anti-Semitism on college campuses around the world.

Dr. Michael Fisher

Dr. Fisher has dedicated over 20 years of his life to ministry, accepting his call to preach in 1998 at only 18 years of age. By the age of 25, Dr. Fisher received the mantle, and responsibility as under-shepard of the then Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He makes every effort to emphasize the importance of education and utilizes his influences to affect change in the lives of the congregation, the Greater Los Angeles area, the country and even abroad. Dr. Fisher’s preaching style is often labeled “real, raw, and relevant.” It is the heart, the mission, the drive, and the motivation of Dr. Michael Fisher to change the world through service to God by building a bridge that stretches from the throne of God to the broken lives of his children.

Rabbi Pini Dunner
Rabbi Pini Dunner

Rabbi Pini Dunner is the Senior Rabbi of Beverly Hills Synagogue in California. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA), and on the board of the Israel Christian Nexus. His family can trace itself back over 1,000 years in Europe’s most prominent Jewish communities. He is descended from some of Judaism’s most illustrious rabbis, including the medieval rabbinic luminary “Rashi”, and the revered “Maharal” of Prague. Rabbi Dunner began his rabbinic career in Russia, as the Assistant Rabbi at Moscow’s iconic Choral Synagogue. He later served as a rabbi in London, and in 1998 presided over the launch of the innovative Saatchi Synagogue for young Jewish professionals in London’s West End. Rabbi Dunner, his wife Sabine and their six children have lived in the U.S. since 2011 where they reside in California.

No childcare is provided, but older children are encouraged to attend.
