Join us Sunday, October 24th at 7:00 pm as Christians from the community of faith in the Boston area come together for Boston Celebrates Israel at Congregation Lion of Judah.  Eagles’ Wings, Pastor Roberto Miranda and Congregation Lion of Judah will host this powerful night of solidarity with the Jewish people and a wonderful celebration of the nation of Israel!

IN THE MIDST OF CHALLENGES

Israel is facing many challenges in the world right now, and the community of faith in the region will join together on Sunday, October 24 to declare our love and support for Israel and the Jewish People. Please mark your calendar right now and plan to join us for this wonderful evening!

In this moment in Israel’s history, you do not want to miss this opportunity to add your voice to those of others in this region expressing our love and support for Israel and the Jewish people!

JEWISH & CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES UNITE

This promises to be an exciting night, with many leaders and members of the Jewish Community present as our special guests. Speakers and guests will include representatives from Israel, as well as civic leaders from the region. The evening is free and open to the public, and a special offering will be taken for Israel.

Bishop Robert Stearns
Bishop Robert Stearns

Robert Stearns is widely recognized as a visionary leader, compelling communicator, gifted strategist, and influential bridge builder. He is the founder and executive director of Eagles’ Wings, a global movement of churches, ministries, and leaders. Eagles’ Wings is involved in a variety of strategic projects around the world, with a unique emphasis on interfaith dialogue and humanitarian care. Robert’s life flows out of deep commitment to Jesus that is characterized by a distinct prophetic edge. A noted author, world-class musician, and highly sought after public speaker, his written works have been translated into 8 languages, his music is appreciated around the world, and he has ministered in over thirty nations while maintaining a distinct focus on Israel.

Chaplain Laurence Bazer
Chaplain Laurence Bazer

Chaplain (Colonel) Laurence Bazer is dual-hatted as the ARNG Staff Chaplain and as the Deputy Director-National Guard Bureau Office of the Joint Chaplain. He previously served for over 15 years as the Joint Force Headquarters State Chaplain for the Massachusetts National Guard. Chaplain Bazer deployed with the 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MAARNG) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from August 2011 to February 2012. In 2013, he oversaw the Chaplaincy response for the Boston Marathon Bombing. Twelve years earlier, he served as a chaplain for the 9/11 World Trade Center attack response. CH Bazer is the senior-ranking Jewish Chaplain in the United States Armed Forces. He was ordained by The Jewish Theological Seminary, NYC in 1993 and received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, in 2013. Chaplain Bazer served as a Congregational Rabbi from 1993 to 2003 in New York and Massachusetts.

Dr. Tricia Miller
Dr. Tricia Miller

Rev. Dr. Tricia Miller is an Evangelical Christian who works as a Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis. She monitors Christian organizations and media activity in relation to the Arab-Israeli conflict and focuses specifically on the effects of Christian anti-Zionism on support for Israel in the Evangelical world. She is also the president of Christians and Jews United for Israel (CJUI). Tricia focuses on educating Christians about the horrible history of Christian antisemitism and persecution of the Jewish people, teaching Christians about the Jewish roots of Christianity, and speaking to Jewish audiences about why Evangelicals stand with Israel and the Jewish people. She has a Master of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Claremont Graduate University, Claremont CA.

Pastor Roberto Miranda
Pastor Roberto Miranda

Dr. Miranda has served as Senior Pastor at Congregation Lion of Judah since 1994. He felt called to ministry while pursuing doctoral studies at Harvard with a view toward a life in Academia. In 1986, he dedicated himself to full-time ministry and in that same year was ordained as Pastor from the CB Churches of America. He holds a BA in International Relations from Princeton University and a Ph. D. in Hispanic American Literature from Harvard. In 2013, he received an honorary doctorate (D.Min.) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Pastor Miranda is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops in the U.S. and throughout Latin America and hosts a local popular radio program “Dios Habla Hoy” which is heard all over New England. He is happily married to Mercedes Miranda and they have two grown daughters, Sonia and Abigail who’ve blessed them with several grandchildren.

There is no charge for the event.  An offering will be received to feed the poor in Israel.

No childcare is provided, but older children are encouraged to attend.
