“…The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts…”
It’s the Time of the Blast of the Shofar!
Rosh Hashanah, or the Feast of Trumpets, and the beginning of the New Year 5783 on God’s calendar, has begun! It’s the time of the shofar blast reminding us of the beginning of God’s High Holy Days – the start of His fall feast season, awakening our souls prayerfully to deep spiritual reflection.
It is in this supernatural season— “God’s Holiest Season,” when your opportunity to come alongside Israel and the Jewish people in this New Year 5783 is here… and I am believing blessing and abundance will be poured out over your life!
At sundown at the beginning of Rosh Hashanah (which was Sunday, Sept. 25th), the shofar sounds and issues a clarion call for Israel to gather for God’s word of redemption and the beginning of the “10 Days of Awe” (Yamim Nora’im), 10 days of personal repentance, asking those we have wronged for forgiveness, and soul-searching before the LORD leading up to His holiest day, October 5th, which is Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement.
“You shall have a rest, a reminder by the blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD” (Leviticus 23:24-25 NASB).
This holy season was a time for Israel to harvest their fields and bring a “first fruits” offering to the Lord. These Jewish High Holy Days are times, mo’edim, divine appointments that God still has marked on His calendar to meet with you!
Right now, as God’s New Year 5783 begins, may we look inside ourselves with a humble heart… and let’s prepare and do what God desires from each of us… to approach Him with reflection and a contrite or penitent heart.
This is also a time for us to bring a special offering to the Lord! God reminds us in Deuteronomy 16:16-17 concerning this feast season:
“No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed. Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way your God has blessed you.”
Also, do NOT forget to send me your prayer request (you can click the link right here), as we take your prayer requests with us to Israel for our annual Awake Jerusalem pilgrimage and Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, through October 9th. My intercessors and I will be making prayers and declarations over your requests throughout the tour, including right at the Western Wall in Jerusalem!
Thank you for standing with Eagles’ Wings and for your support for Israel and Jerusalem in this hour!
