[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1614958238906{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]We are privileged to be living in times when the eyes of the Church are being opened once again to the Jewish roots of our faith and to the elder brother that we have in the Jewish people. For far too long our two communities have been divided, splintered apart by the subversive actions of anti-Semitism and suspicion. But with God’s help we are discovering that our faith communities have more in common than what divides us – that our heritage is from the same root and that we are forever connected in the heart of God’s purpose.

異邦人であるイスラエルの神は、神の家の良さを体験するために私たちを招き入れました。その家の定義は、イスラエルの人々の間で制定された祈りの家です。モーセの幕屋でレビ人が働いていた時代から、ユダヤ人は何世紀にもわたって神の前で礼拝と祈りの炎をささげてきました。神の計画は、彼らが神の契約を守ることで、世界の国々に祝福の道を開くことであった。

イザヤは、異邦人に来るはるかに遠い救いを預言し、これが神の民イスラエルを通して、最初から神の計画の一部であることを示しました。

“Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants— Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant— even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Isaiah 56:6-7

To all those who draw near “to love the name of the Lord,” God says He will bring us to His holy mountain of Zion (Jerusalem) to participate in His Kingdom agenda of worship and prayer to call forth blessing to the world.

イザヤ書56章と同様に、エペソ2:12は、キリスト以前の私たち異邦人は契約からの異邦人であり、「イスラエルの共同体からの異邦人であり、約束の契約からの見知らぬ人」であったことを反響させています。しかし、イエス様を通して、私たちは救いを受け、信仰の根源に再接続されました。神は約束したように、ユダヤ人と異邦人から「一つの新しい人」を創造しています（エペソ2:15）。そして、それはすべて、神の祈りの家が地上に引き上げられることと結びついています。

では、「万国のための祈りの家」とは具体的にどのようなものなのでしょうか。

家」とは住む場所のことであり、神の家は神の民で構成されていて、共に神のための住居となるのです。詩篇のダビデが書いているように

“But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3, KJV

ですから、神の民が集まって一緒に神を賛美しようとするとき、神は彼らの中にいることを約束されています。

しかし、神が御言葉の実現として、神の民が集まるために設けられた特定の物理的な場所、それがエルサレムの町なのです。イスラエルの民は、神の命令に従って年に3回エルサレムに集まり、主の祭りの間、神殿で神を礼拝した。今日、私たちは一年中毎日、ユダヤ人と異邦人を問わず、かつて神殿があった西の壁で祈り、礼拝する人たちを見つけることができる。

漠然とした委任以上のものを表現するものとして，世界中から何百万人もの巡礼者がエルサレムに集まり，何十もの異なる言語で祈ることによって得られる喜びを見出してきました。そして今、エルサレムの平和のための祈りの日、エルサレムを目覚めさせよう、タバナクルの饗宴の現代的なお祝いなど、毎年行われているイベントを通して、私たちはイザヤ書５６章が世界の国々の参加を得て、歴史のこの時に成就しているのを見ているのです。

神は、世界中のクリスチャンの目と心をイスラエルの中心に向けさせるとともに、エルサレムを中心とする神の家に霊的にも物理的にも帰ってくるという、神が語られた喜びを世界中に解き放たれているのです。

今こそ私たち信者は、聖書に預言されている「すべての国」の一員となり、この時に神が神の民の間で解放されている喜びを体験する時です。神がなさっていることをほめたたえ、この歴史的な日に神の民として共に前進していきましょう。
