On November 17, Bishop Robert Stearns was honored to be invited along with other global influential leaders to speak at the United Against Racism Global Conference for the World Jewish Congress’ Jewish Diplomatic Corps.
This 10-day virtual event was organized as part of the training for the Jewish Diplomatic Corps, a group of several hundred young Jewish leaders whom the World Jewish Congress is equipping around the world as representatives of the Jewish community, in these times of rising anti-Semitism and great opposition against Israel.
Bishop Robert was invited to speak on behalf of the evangelical Christian community in the U.S., helping to prepare the members of the Diplomatic Corps to build long-term alliances with other faith communities in the U.S. and worldwide, and especially as it correlates with the Jewish-Christian relationship within our nation.
The title of Bishop Robert’s speaking session was “Challenges and Opportunities for Jewish-Christian Relations in the U.S.”, in which he shared insights on varied evangelical communities both here and internationally, as well as strategies on building bridges of relationship for future partnerships between these evangelical groups and the Jewish world.
As stated by the World Jewish Congress, the goal of the Diplomatic Corps is to empower a highly selective worldwide network of over 300 Jewish young professionals to represent and strengthen the Jewish communities, ensuring their strong voice in global affairs today and for decades to come.
Through the medium of online technology, this event was an incredible opportunity to be able to encourage and strengthen these young Jewish leaders, whose influence will continue to grow significantly on behalf of the Jewish community in the future.
The time is now for engaging these strategic relationships and training the next generation, and we are thankful to all our partners worldwide who make it possible for the Eagles’ Wings global movement to be part of shaping history!
