Eagles’ Wings’ third annual Solidarity Sunday mobilizes churches across five continents in a public stand against antisemitism and in support of the Jewish people and Israel.
Buffalo, NY: January 26, 2026 –More than 600 churches across the globe participated in the third annual Solidarity Sunday, a coordinated initiative organized by Eagles’ Wings that has more than doubled in reach each year since its launch. The event brought together approximately 1,100 Christian leaders and tens of thousands of congregants worldwide in a visible, collective stand against antisemitism and in solidarity with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
What began just three years ago as a modest call to action has rapidly grown into a global movement. Churches across the United States, Canada, Brazil, Puerto Rico, and parts of Africa and Europe opened their doors to Jewish voices, shared testimony, and public expressions of friendship at a time of heightened concern over rising antisemitism worldwide.
Solidarity Sunday was created to move beyond statements of concern and toward visible, collective action. Through shared worship spaces, testimony, and education, participating churches offered a public demonstration of moral clarity and human solidarity in response to increased threats, harassment, and intimidation faced by Jewish communities following the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel.
Churches hosted Jewish speakers who shared personal stories, including Holocaust survivors and their descendants, survivors of the Nova music festival massacre, family members of Israeli hostages, IDF soldiers, Israeli public figures, and Jewish university students confronting antisemitism on campus. Many congregations also screened video testimonies from Holocaust survivors and Jews facing antisemitism today.
In addition, churches joined a live global broadcast led by Bishop Robert Stearns, founder and president of Eagles’ Wings, from Buffalo, New York.
“Hatred of Jews is a harbinger of hatred of humanity.”
Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, President, National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership
Solidarity Sunday was organized through the Israel Christian Nexus, Eagles’ Wings’ pastors’ network, in collaboration with the Moral Hearts Alliance, a Jewish organization dedicated to strengthening Jewish–Christian relationships. The initiative was launched in 2024 in direct response to the surge of antisemitism following the October 7 massacre.
The timing of Solidarity Sunday is intentional. Held annually on the Sunday preceding International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the event invites Christian communities to reflect honestly on the failures of silence during the Holocaust—and to make different moral choices today.
For more than 30 years, Eagles’ Wings has worked to build relationships between Christians and Jews through education, advocacy, and engagement with Israel. The organization has facilitated nearly 800 pastoral and solidarity delegations, bringing more than 40,000 Christians to Israel to meet Israeli citizens, leaders, and faith communities firsthand.
Bishop Stearns has been outspoken about the painful legacy of Christian antisemitism and the responsibility of Christians today.
“Two thousand years of Christian history have often been terrible for the Jewish people. But a new generation of Christians is here—one that says, ‘For Zion’s sake, I will not be silent.’ Jews and Christians must stand together now.”
Bishop Robert Stearns
Founder and President, Eagles’ Wings
Organizers emphasize that Solidarity Sunday is not a political or theological campaign, but a moral commitment—calling Christian leaders and congregations to use their voices and influence to oppose antisemitism and support Jewish life openly and publicly.
