Evangelicals and Israel: A Growing Movement

Evangelicals and Israel: A Growing Movement

On Saturday, July 6, Bishop Robert Stearns was welcomed as a guest speaker at the historic Hampton Synagogue, which is known worldwide and regarded as one of the world’s most influential synagogues.

Bishop Robert spoke on the topic of “Evangelicals and Israel: A Growing Movement.” He shared that while Judaism can exist without Christianity, Christianity cannot explain itself apart from Judaism, and that the time we are living in demonstrates an unprecedented level of connection between the two faith communities.

In response to the horrific atrocities that have been done against the Jewish people throughout history in the name of Christianity, Robert highlighted how evangelical Christians and Jews, in a concerted effort to mend the tragic past, are beginning in a substantial way to stand united against the onslaught of our common enemy expressed in the ideology of radical Islam.

After the event, host Rabbi Marc Schneier said,

“Robert Stearns represents the future of the Zionist Movement both nationally and worldwide. He is a beloved and trusted friend of the Hampton Synagogue.”

This was the second significant synagogue connection for Bishop Robert this summer, as just several weeks prior, he brought a group of pastors to Kehilath Jeshurun in Manhattan, with Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz, for a “Shabbat of Solidarity”.

Bishop Robert and Eagles’ Wings are excited that the message of cooperation between the Jewish and Christian communities around our shared values continues to grow and deepen. In the midst of very challenging times on the global stage, these developments point to a bright future for the Jewish-Christian relationship and further emphasize the vital importance of the work of Eagles’ Wings in the days and years ahead. Thank you to all our partners for making this impact possible!
