10/8/2023 – One of the worst days in Israel

 In Frontlines

“Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.” (Isaiah 40:1)

Many in Israel are saying yesterday’s surprise attack was one of the worst days in the modern history of Israel. The videos and photos of the devastation are horrific.

Reports are that 600 Israelis have been killed and more than 2,000 wounded, a large percentage of whom were Israeli citizens who were murdered in their homes, and dozens are reported missing and feared kidnapped to Gaza where Hamas says they are holding them hostage.

There is no way to accurately portray the feeling in Israel as many have lost loved ones and friends, and have been called up into the reserve forces to defend Israel.

This is a time when we must respond in prayer and action.

My sons and I continue to remain in Jerusalem, where yesterday CBN News interviewed me on the situation. My interview with CBN’s Israel correspondent Chris Mitchell and former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Danny Ayalon and his wife Anne.
