The Blue Mountain 100 | Youth Conference – October 26-28

For the last several years Eagles’ Wings and the Kairos School of Ministry have been invited to speak and lead worship at the Blue Mountain Youth Explosion Weekend. This conference hosts over two hundred youth from Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

One special moment that happened last year at the conference came through a sermon by Mark Passarella titled “Send Me”. The room was charged with expectation. As the message went out, teenagers were moved to hear an old story about a preacher named D.L. Moody. Moody spent a weekend preaching to 250 young adults. The result from that weekend in Mt. Hermon, Massachusetts, was that 100 young adult people committed to going into the world to be ambassadors for Jesus. The year was 1886 and it was called the “Mt. Hermon 100”.

You could feel the tension in the room as teenagers wrestled with deciding whether they’d settle for a normal life, or a life of sacrifice, meaning, and impact.

That evening, 100 young people made a commitment to follow Jesus as He sent them into their towns, schools, and families as ambassadors. It was a modern-day Blue Mountain 100.

We can’t wait to return this year in October. Eagles’ Wings and the Kairos School of Ministry will be returning to Blue Mountain, PA for this year’s conference.  We want to invite you and your teenager to join us for another weekend on the mountain, Oct 26-28, 2018.
